Suzanne Sloan
Minister of Music

Suzanne Sloan was born and raised in Columbia, SC. She accepted Christ as her personal savior when she was 8 years old, and had a “born again” experience as a teenager. She graduated from Furman University and following her love of music theatre, moved first to NYC and later, to Atlanta. For twenty years she made a living in “show business.”

Suzanne says that she believes God began calling her to work in the church as a music minister several years before she paid attention. When she finally acknowledged God’s call, she moved back to Columbia, studied at Lutheran Seminary, and began working at Asbury Memorial UMC.

“One of God’s greatest gifts to me has been a career for the second half of my life for which I have such passion and joy. As my pastor says, “God is good. All the time!”
